Who gives good perms? And who's good at leg-waxing?

Looking to get a perm soon, and I know that can be a bit tricky--any recommendations on who's good at inducing that supercurly natural-girl look?

Also, I'm finally fed up with the leg-waxing at Davis Square Nails & Spa; they're cheap and fast, but I always end up with leftover wax on my legs and not a whole lot less hair. Other recommendations? I don't really care about the Salon Experience--I just want smooth legs.

i can't help you with the perm, but in terms of leg-waxing, i have two recommendations. Karen Golden Skin Care in Brookline is freakin' amazing, but if you want somewhere specifically in the Davis area, i recommend J's Salon outside Davis - she's good at what she does and she's cheap. But seriously, search for Karen Golden on Yelp and you'll see why she's the best kept secret in this city :)

re: leg waxing - I love Kelly at V.I.P Spa on Mass Ave just west of Porter.

re: perm - I can't recommend anyone from personal experience, but this morning the folks at Salon Cu in Ball Square were having a conversation about an uptick in perm requests, so I think they do perms there, and I know that their haircuts have always been great for me (and super reasonably priced, to boot.)

Based on Yelp ratings, I just tried Salon Cu (http://www.saloncu.com/index.html) in Ball Square last month. I didn't get a perm, but I talked about perms with the woman who did my hair (um...Danielle? sigh, I'm bad with names) and I believe they do special curly hair cuts, so maybe they'd be worth checking out?
