Document shredding in Somerville

Does anyone know if a shredding service in or near Somerville that will handle shredding a relatively small (maybe 10 lbs. of paper) amount of documents?

Unfortunately this got no useful replies two years ago. I hope we can do better this time, as I'd also like to use such a service.

Assuming not, I found recently that you get what you pay for with shredders. A machine that will chomp ten pages at a time means a lot of time feeding the maw. Since it requires your hands, and it's loud, and some care is needed to prevent paper cuts, it's pretty difficult to do anything else while you're shredding, too. Maybe the radio.

Lotion helps prevent paper cuts.

Yeah, I've found that shredders $100 or less are not only time-consuming to feed, they jam up a lot and eventually become unusable. That's why I'd rather have someone do it for me every couple of months.

I gave up and just bought a shredder that had good reviews. I'm hoping it'll last.

If you're near the UPS Store in Cambridge, they do provide shredding services. It didn't work for me because it's kind of a long way for me to walk with a big box of documents, and parking around there is nuts.
