Does anyone know if a shredding service in or near Somerville that will handle shredding a relatively small (maybe 10 lbs. of paper) amount of documents?

Unfortunately this got no useful replies two years ago. I hope we can do better this time, as I'd also like to use such a service.

Assuming not, I found recently that you get what you pay for with shredders. A machine that will chomp ten pages at a time means a lot of time feeding the maw. Since it requires your hands, and it's loud, and some care is needed to prevent paper cuts, it's pretty difficult to do anything else while you're shredding, too. Maybe the radio.

Lotion helps prevent paper cuts.

Not quite what you requested, but might be useful to others. Office Depot has posted a coupon for free shredding of up to 5 lbs. of paper:

Closest store is in Woburn.

Isn't there one at the Gateway Center in Everett? (That's the big shopping center with Target, Home Depot, and so on.)

Yeah, I realized that just after I posted. Either way, it's not a very good store. I had trouble finding the POST-ITS, of all things.
