Volunteering?

.... anyone know of any local charities needing volunteers this holiday season?  Looking to do something in Somerville, local, etc.

Despite being titled "Five Ways to Volunteer...", I only count three (Peabody, Elder Services, and SHC). There must be more than that.

I have volunteered with the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter (http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/hshs/) before, which needs a lot of help over break when students are gone.

Definitely check out People Making a Difference. They work with a lot of great groups all throughout the Boston-area, especially ones that don't necessarily have organized volunteer programs themselves.
