I have a lot of stuff. I want to have less stuff. Anybody have any suggestions about how to get rid of books (of various genres), VHS movies (mostly in good shape, but I won't have a VCR anymore), tapes (ditto - it's just time to move on to new technology), and clothes/shoes (women's size 7-ish, in both clothes and shoes)? Preferably in a way that involves loading up a Zipcar and taking them somewhere, rather than having a yard sale or posting each individual item on Craigslist. Thanks!

Date: 2005-06-15 09:34 pm (UTC)Consign seasonally appropriate hip/retro/vintage at Poor Little Rich Girl, schmancy or more conservative stuff at Second Time Around in Harvard Sq, and damn near anything at the Garment District (though you've got to wait like a month for an appointment at Garment District now - they all require appointments).
Donate stuff at Goodwill, including books and clothes and videos. Also for the clothes and shoes you could call Rosie's Place or another women's shelter and donate there - sometimes the littler charities get the stuff to people who need it faster.
Good luck!
