davis_squareToday I went to the showroom for my local fireplace store to schedule a chimney sweep (Buchanan Fireplace in Medford) and there was a sign on the door that they have closed permanently. Calling their number confirmed this sad fact, and their website's gone.
Thus, I need a trustworthy chimney sweep. I have a woodstove insert, and have never had it swept since I bought the insert, so I don't know what is involved. All I know is that the woodstove flue is overdue for a cleaning. Are there any local tradespeople recommended by this group? I did a search, and the "home services" tag seems to be the most relevant, but I didn't find anything obvious about chimney sweeps.
