need optometrist

i get 1 eye exam a year paid by my insurance, and i really need a new prescription for my contacts.
last year i went to a dim place on highland ave. in somerville, the guy barely listened to me, examined me and then told me that i was wrong and i didn't need a new prescription.
now i really need one.

anyone have recs for a trustworthy opthamologist/eye doctor/eye place that will listen to me and be thorough?

near Davis/Porter/Harvard preferred.

I've found that the optometrists that work with For Eyes Optical are always great. I've been to quite a few locations and they've been wonderful. Plus, with For Eyes, you get two complete pairs of glasses (in case you need a backup) for $99!

For Eyes in Harvard Square is also my favorite place. Though my insurance now has a special program where I can get free glasses at Cambridge Eye Associates. So I'm planning on trying them out sometime soon.
