need optometrist

i get 1 eye exam a year paid by my insurance, and i really need a new prescription for my contacts.
last year i went to a dim place on highland ave. in somerville, the guy barely listened to me, examined me and then told me that i was wrong and i didn't need a new prescription.
now i really need one.

anyone have recs for a trustworthy opthamologist/eye doctor/eye place that will listen to me and be thorough?

near Davis/Porter/Harvard preferred.

i've used scott sylvia at general optical (corner of mass ave and creighton street, across from the fire station) and been pleased. their glasses are kind of pricey, but the exam and workup is good.
