Anyone know where I can get a knife sharpened? I have pumpkins to carve!

Those will destroy good knives.
Good knives should be regularly honed (which you can do yourself
with a honing steel) and should be sharpened professionally
once every few years.

Honing realigns the blade without taking off any material
and makes a huge difference and is easy. Sharpening
takes off material from the blade and is tricky to do right
and doesn't need to be done all that often.

I tend to use a steel myself, but I know not everyone has the knack.

Like avacon said, a steel hones, it doesn't sharpen.

I had mine done by Siraco at the USq Farmers Market and wow, what a difference!

PS: Price was $3.25 for the chef's knife and $4 for the cleaver-style.
