Latest postmark time?

Not strictly Davis Sq... but would anyone know the latest I can get something postmarked tomorrow? I have an application due and I may need a plan B if the wheels of life don't turn with exquisite precision tomorrow. Is there a PO that stays open late(r) than 5 pm anywhere?

It is possible, and even usually not an issue, but it's not actually _LEGAL_. If something is delayed between when you run it through a postage meter and when you actually deposit it for delivery, you're supposed to re-meter it, with a zero-value stamp and the correct time/date. I don't know what the delay is that invokes this situation.
