Here is what I wrote before with the corrected phone number:

CompuGeeks on Holland right outside of Au Bon Pain is a good place to take it. It looks all home grown and maybe it is to an extent, but I have gotten my computer repaired there and had a good experience. I also referred two friends there who were happy with their service.

They do not charge a diagnosis fee and I thought the prices were totally reasonable. I had initially brought my computer to one of the big chains who told me it was unfixable and to just buy a new one. CompuGeeks fixed mine for about $175 and I was thrilled.

Their number is 617-996-9270. I don't think they have a website, which is odd, but I personally didn't care much about that.
