Looking for a new PCP

Hi, I'm looking for a new primary care physician. I had one I really liked at Harvard Vanguard, but sadly, she passed on about a year ago. I'm not particularly satisfied with the new one. I'm on Tufts Health Insurance, and have a PPO plan, but would prefer someone in their network. Ideally, my doctor would be in or around Davis Square, but any place reasonably accessible from here by T or bike would be OK. I'm generally healthy, and don't have any specific needs, although I have a slight preference for a woman and a strong preference for someone who can talk to me about medical & science related things without talking down to me.

Thanks! I knew there was a discussion about this recently, but when I checked tags, there was nothing specifically on medical, and I didn't have the patience to go wading through the 250+ "local business" postings.

(I find that the search function on the comm's info page is sometimes more helpful that the tags... I just searched for "doctor" and that was on the first page of results! I knew I had posted a response there and was too lazy to type the same thing again, but look, this comment is now as long as my original comment.)

Oh, I didn't even realize there was a search function. Duh! Thanks so so much. You have increased my LJ capability tenfold (and therefore lessened my work efficiency, but them's the breaks).

I deleted your "local businesses" tag and replaced it with a "health care" tag. If you click on it, you may find other posts of interest.
