This store is awesome. I'm very happy with the quality of merchandise and I wish them much success in Davis Square.
I bought some amazing jewelry, a Davis Square shirt, a box of almond soaps, a "Lucky Pennies" sign for my back entry and a few other things.

Just like any new business, it takes time to work out the kinks, house a good inventory and find a balance of creating the vision that is in harmony and compatible with the neighborhood and the market. And so far, they're doing a great job. I'm looking forward to popping in on a regular basis. They are friendly and helpful, and I'm going back!

And even if you're not in the market for buying something, you have to check out the switch plate on the wall to the left as you come in the door. It's the coolest copper design. It's official, I'm in love.

I don't know how long you've been here, but there was once a store called Pluto in The Square and it was one of my favorite places to browse and shop. D2 carries pretty much the same merchandise. I've been told it's actually a former co-owner of Pluto who came back to grace us with their presence again.

LOL! What gave you away? Your shock and dismay at the reaction this post received and your obvious lack of relatively thick skin. No offense, my dear, but participation in most of the Boston oriented communities requires a very healthy (or un-healthy depending on your viewpoint) level of snarkiness and bitchery.

I'm a mix. My whole family is from here originally and I returned here when I was 15 (I'm 32 now). So, I basically spent the most important part of my growing up here. I got my first drivers license here. I finished school here. To some, that still doesn't count. To me, it does. I didn't come for work or college. My accent comes and goes since I have lived in many other parts of the country, but it's especially vibrant when I'm drunk or pissed. Boston molded my personality, that's for sure. Truthfully, I barely remember my earlier childhood elsewhere.
