Quick reminder that we are having a Giant Moving Sale today from 9:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the corner of College Avenue and Chapel.  Lots of great items that we cannot take with us.

Of particular interest to this neighborhood, we have just decided to sell two orginal theater chairs from the Somerville Theater that we got a few years ago and mounted on stained wood.  We love these chairs and love having this piece of local history, but we simply have no room to use them in our new place.  Rather than send them to storage we thought we would try to find them a new home (photo below).

Thanks!
Melissa and Kristin

Hello Neighbors,

After ten years in the same apartment we finally bought a condo.  We are moving from one side of the square to the other and need to downsize.  Lots of great items for sale.  Please see our craigslist posting for details: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/gms/4482485676.html

We are willing to sell some of the larger items pre-sale if you see something you like.

Also, if you know anyone looking for an amazing apartment starting July 1 let us know and we can connect them with our landlord.

See you on Sunday!

Once upon a time, I looked around my apartment and realized either some of my things went, or I went. There wasn't room for us all. So I'm saying goodbye to some items that are in good condition but just aren't being used by me at this point in my life.

See all items and photos here:

Hi all,

Long-time Somerville resident and fervent DSLJ lurker here, sadly moving out of the country and selling most of my earthly goods. New craigslist posting here: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/fuo/3864653881.html but that doesn't even cover it all, so if you are looking to cheaply furnish a room or apartment, be in touch. All prices are negotiable, especially if you take more than one item. We are sort of between Davis and Porter on Hancock St between Summer and Elm.

Also FREE are a lot of kitchen staples, in half-gallon wide mouth canning jars with airtight plastic lids (rather than the metal two-part lids that come with canning jars). White, brown, & powdered sugars, panko, wheatberries, also a large jar of oat tops, which are supposed to be good for the nervous system: http://www.oregonswildharvest.com/owh/browse/product/oats_'milky'_tops_whole

Additionally, because I doubt that shelters will find these very helpful, I have two cans of Oregon brand Blackberries: http://www.vitacost.com/oregon-fruit-products-blackberries-in-light-syrup and a killer pie recipe to go with them (see userpic). These are (to my knowledge) impossible to find in the area, so I order them in cases. I know canned blackberries sounds a little weird, but these are great for baked desserts.

Finally, I have a small, like-new paperback copy of the Qur'an, Pickthall translation, that I would like to give away to someone who will take care of it and ideally use it in some way. Completely unmarked, no bent pages, etc.

Respond to the CL ad/s, comment here, or PM for more pictures, info, etc.

The sixth graders at the Brown School (on the block that is surrounded by Willow, Kidder, and Josephine Ave) will be hosting a yard sale this Saturday to raise funds for their trip to Nature's Classroom. They have collected gazillions of items and its a great cause!

It's time to admit that, much as I love this stereo, I just never use it anymore and I'd rather have the space back in my living room. I have a Sony 6 Disc changer with exchange (meaning you can listen to one disc while changing the others) model number CDP-C245. The receiver is model number STR-D515 and the speakers are Infinity, bookshelf sized. Asking $100 for the whole set. I can't figure out how to post pictures below the cut but I'd be happy to send you some if you like. It's in great shape- no scratches or dings. Let me know if you're interested!
