where near davis (walking or driving- let's say cambridge or somerville) can i get a fresh croissant?
fresh as in, made on the premises or somewhere nearby?

extra points if there are flavored croissants (chocolate, almond...)

Meeting on bike path extension - Tues 8/22, 6:30 pm, VNA

There will be a neighborhood meeting this Tuesday, August 22 at 6:30 pm, to discuss extension of the Community Path from Cedar to Central Street. The meeting will be held at the VNA assisted living facility on Lowell Street, just south of the bridge.

The city is trying to arrange for Cambridge Health Alliance to donate land that it now uses partially as a parking lot. The parking lot would be reduced, and the path extended through this land. For more information see this earlier LJ post.

Outdoor movies in Somerville - Thurs 8/24

Movies will be shown outdoors in Somerville this Thursday, at two different locations.

At Seven Hills Park here in Davis Square, the city will show Casablanca, starting around 8 pm.

At the Community Growing Center on Vinal Avenue (near Union Square), Women in Film and Video will present a program of short subjects. This will also start around 8 pm.
