Could anyone recommend any good temp agencies in the area?

What happened to the Someday Cafe? Closed for renovations or for good? I miss their chocolate muffins and my morning iced coffee. Everywhere else in the square is less superior to me.

Workers are installing a huge openable window on the left side of Mike's Restaurant this morning.

Too bad the Red Sox season is already over. ;-(

After moving in my new pretty furniture I sadly have to get rid of the old. It's already sitting on the curb for the taking and it's completely FREE. What's out there?

1) A double papasan chair. Some people find these things comfortable.
2) A very comfortable couch/loveseat (seats two comfortably). Totally functional, comfy, good stuffing, etc. Would have kept it if it didn't have that 70s bad upholstery.

Did I mention they're free?

Where is it? in front of 110 Boston Ave (south of Broadway in Ball Sq NOT north of Broadway in Medford) Come and get!

If you parked your car on Kidder Ave between Highland Rd and Boston Ave last night, it isn't there anymore. Neither is the top layer of pavement.

So yes, our munificent city officials decided to post emergency-no-parking signs on Kidder sometime last night (I didn't see them yesterday) and then call Pat's Towing bright and early this morning. On moving day, no less. Judging from the number of cars that my wife saw them towing around 10:30, it looks like the advance notification was... less than adequate.

We live on Prichard Ave, and today we got a letter telling us that our street will be repaved next week and that there will be parking restrictions during construction. But I bet nobody was notified of the repaving of Kidder, because there aren't any houses on that stretch that have addresses on Kidder.

So clearly Someday isn't serving ice cream, so I went to Diesel to get some toscanini ice cream. They have stopped selling ice cream. This seems like a bad idea since Someday's customers might try Diesel. Of course when I asked what they made their ice cream drinks out of, i got a blank stare.

I went to JP Licks, I guess the only ice cream place in the square now.

Hi all,

So I finally moved into my new place, and among other things (many of which I ended up keeping), the previous tenants left a microwave. It's a Samsung Classic Collection II, and it's oldish, but it's in very reasonable condition, and very clean. I'm on Albion Street, off of Central.

Anyone who wants it, please e-mail dani at tzk-design dot com.

Cheers!
