Hi there
I'm looking for a mason to do some work in our basement. Referrals are appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm looking for someone to take over my lame as some might put it web site and do something exciting with it. We are a small two person business in Davis Sq. I'm from Somerville and still live here many years later. We need an overhaul on this site and it needs to be supported often with updates as well as properly marketed. I'm open to suggestions as I know some have already started to even recently. I need help with it as I dont have the time, I'm too busy fixing notebooks, Laptops , Desktops and getting some of you Satellite tv for free. Yes I even climb the roof for a select few. So if you are capable of doing a great job on a bad website call us or stop by better still and I'll buy the coffee while we discuss whats happening next. The more creative the more I like it, with a nickname like KraazyPete that goes back to Southern Junior High you can guess I dont think outside the box, I dont believe in Boxes at all. I'll gladly pay for the effort, call us the number on the lame site.

I'm looking for a recommendation for a carpet cleaning company that can get out cigarette smells.  Or is this impossible and do I have to just replace the carpet?  Hoping to try the cleaning route first.

Join the Somerville Bicycle Committee and the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission for a Bicycle Tour of Historic Somerville and Medford.

The ride starts on Saturday, June 23rd at 10 am in the parking lot of Somerville City Hall, 93 Highland Avenue (just east of School Street). We'll ride for about 10 miles, and we should be finished around 1 pm.

We'll visit historic sites throughout Somerville and Medford, including the Old Powder House, the Isaac Royall House, and the armories and historical museums of both cities.

For more information, contact Brandon Wilson at (617) 776-3938, or Ron Newman at rnewman@theCIA.net, or Dick Bauer at dick.bauer@alum.mit.edu

(This ride was originally scheduled for the weekend of May 19-20, but was rained out both days. We aren't setting another rain date this time. We will go ahead with the ride on June 23 unless there is steady, heavy rain.)

per [livejournal.com profile] ron_newman's suggestion, I'm crossposting this from [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n...

----

I've gone through the history, but the recommendations for movers aren't helping; I don't need a 'real mover', I need a 'guy with a truck' to help me move a sofa from South Davis Square down to Central Square. It's going down one story in Davis, in an apartment, and in central it's going into the basement of Pandemonium books (will take about 3 minutes to carry it downstairs).

I can't see the job taking very long; the apartment and the store are about 10 minutes from each other, so the only problem is getting it down the stairs at the apartment (the couch won't actually be going *up* at any point; down to ground level, then down into a basement).

That said, I'm at work so I can't go out on the streets and grab a couple 'Two guys and a van' flyers off streetposts, and the ones I've found in the history are all booked for tonight. Anyone got a recommendation or want to make a few $?
