anyone know when/how they cancel the city of somerville free movies? I have plans to go tonight, but I think the rain might cancel it, anyone know from past experience how that works?

Loud booms around 8:50 pm last night

Last night in Davis Square, around 8:50 pm, I heard a lot of loud booms, though I could not see anything in the sky other than occasional 'sheet' flashes of light.

This was far too early to be Boston's fireworks. Anyone know what town's display I was hearing? Newton? Waltham?

SoundBites Open for Dinner Starting Tonight

I just walked by SoundBites, and tonight is their first night serving dinner. I only got a quick glance at the menu, but it seems to be a mix of Mediterranean, Italian and Italian-American, probably some burgers though I didn't see the whole menu. If you haven't had dinner, I'm sure folks here would love a first report. :-)
