Anywhere near Davis I can buy a kosher sausage (like a summer sausage, or hillshire farms beefstick; something that travels?)

I'm sure I can find things in Brookline but I'm trying to avoid the trip this week. Thanks!

I'm looking for recommendations for a tailor for a bridesmaid gown. Someone nearer to Davis is better of course, though I do have a car, and if they are open after 5 PM and/or on weekends, even better still.

Thanks!

Howdy all. I have some friends in the Davis Square area that just had a new baby. Yay! I'm looking for advice for what to do so they can get a break from having to cook.

Perhaps a place in the area that will deliver prepared comfort food to them that they can even stick in the freezer for later?

Or a restaurant in the area that has gift certificates *and* delivery (and you can use them together)?

I'm blanking on what restaurants in Davis would make sense for this purpose and I'm not too familiar with what's around the Tufts area or Ball Sq, etc.

(I would just bring them food myself but I don't want to burden them with visitors just yet.)

Thank you in advance if you have any suggestions!

I see you, you attractive member of the davis_square community. You're looking great today. Is that a new hairstyle you're sporting? Hey, while I got your attention, won't you buy my 11.8 month old MacBook? I used it occasionally to direct people to mbta.com.

has anyone been approached by young men selling $5 candy to support something called the New England Youth Foundation or New England Teen Foundation? i've run into these guys twice now, once in Porter and once in Central, and their credentials consist of a piece of printed paper inside a plastic sleeve. They have no website, no contact information, just a name of a founder (Keith Something or Other, I regret I've forgotten his last name), and an address (14 Talbot Ave in Dorchester, which shows up on Google Maps as a parking lot, and which is next to the Boys and Girls Club, which is at 15 Talbot Ave).

I want to support kids selling stuff as a fundraiser (I like candy), but not if they're being dishonest, and especially not if it's an organized scam.
