Did you hear that? That faint crackle from your radio? No..it couldn't be. But yes..the ghosts of radio programs past are coming back for three nights of unrelenting horror. (Now with cowboys!)

The Post-Meridian Radio Players are bringing back the Librarian with a new collection of terrifying tales:

Witness the halloween party presented by the cast of Our Miss Brooks. Skeletons! Ghosts! School Principals! Oh my!

Hear the chilling Victorian tale of a sensuous vampire, Carmilla, as she stalks her next pretty young victim.

Then, when you can stand no more, we present our third tale, The Stone Ship. It's a ghastly tale of ghostly galleons on the high seas. When it's over, you can tell yourself it was all just a story...

Immerse yourselves to these three old time radio tales of terror on Monday, October 29th, Tuesday the 30th or on Wednesday October 31st, the spookiest night of the year. All three shows begin at 7:30pm.

Come in costume and you may win a prize!

$12 for adults. $10 for students/seniors. We'll be presenting at the First Congregational Church of Somerville (89 College Avenue)

So I just made an appointment at Lang's Dentist in Ball Square (And yes, I looked in the tags first and saw nothing on them..) and now I'm a little worried because they were able to get me an appointment this Friday... Which seems a bit suspicious, does anyone know anything about this place?

Can anyone recommend a local veterinarian? We recently adopted a dog and are looking for an area vet for the future. Thanks in advance!

Drawing

Tuesdays, beginning Nov.6, 7:30-9:30 P.M. 5 weeks,

$150. Unity Church, 6 Williams St., Somerville.

This class is designed to give students a solid foundation in the fundamentals of drawing. The skills necessary to render a subject 3-dimensionally will be taught through a variety of exercises, using still life subjects and eventually the human model.

Observational techniques, composition, and different artistic approaches will be explored as students use a variety of mediums to render the subject.

This class is perfect for beginners with little or no experience drawing, and an excellent refresher for the advanced artist who wants to review basic principles or improve his or her skill level.

To register, please call 857-222-4040 or email diana.rice@yahoo.com.

nothing against the previous poster; but I'm wondering where all of the area's *cheap* classes are. I've seen writing classes for $400, music for $150 an hour, even 90m over at the Cambridge School for Culinary Arts costs $100.

When I lived in Toronto, I did a full day class in tofu making for $5. The local adult education schools were $50 (canadian, when it was worth 80 US cents), for 6 week classes. I myself taught free classes in computer literacy.

Now, it's not that I don't believe the classes exist. I'm sure they do, and there are places where they can be taken. But I just keep not seeing or hearing about them. So what are your favourite resources for people who can't afford classes that cost more per hourthan they themselves earn?

At 3PM this afternoon, I saw a small brown dog running down Cedar St. near Morrison.  I tried to catch it, but it ran away.  Anyone missing or know of someone missing a smallish, chihuahua-mix-looking dog?
