Hey, we have a bunch of u-haul boxes (small/medium) that have been used 1-2 times (mostly once) that are looking for a new home. They're all broken down—all you need to do is come and get them. They are located at a house near Teele Square.

Comment or email me if you're interested...

there was a large brown (chow?) in the middle of the intersection right in downtown davis this morning. if anyone is missing a chow, someone called the cops/animal control to get the dog out of the intersection safely. We tried to call him out and walk him out but he wasn't very responsive and was pretty skiddish. Hope he finds his way home safely!

Maybe not surprisingly, Johnny D's has postponed the music events scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night, in favor of showing the World Series on the big screen.  Tonight's Gypsy Cimbalom Band show has been moved to Tuesday, Nov. 13 and tomorrow's Brazilian dance band Samba Tremeterra will play on Friday, Nov. 30.

The cimbalom band, incidentally, is amazing.  The leader, Calman Balogh, is generally recognized as the world's greatest player of the cimbalom, a Hungarian instrument similar to a hammered dulcimer.  If you have any interest in world music, you should try to catch them next month.

At 8:20 tonight, jets will fly over Fenway. Keep your eyes peeled if you want to see them, and be prepared to comfort kids and pets.

Anyone know where in the general Boston area (preferably somewhat close to Davis of course.. but I'm willing to drive) I could get two pairs of xxl overalls... like, farmer style - like oshkosh, suspender style... I'm thinking like a farmer-clothing supply store... but I don't know where I'd find something like that. Any help is appreciated.!

hey everyone -

this is an incredible long shot, but i have to ask: does anyone have an extra ticket for mike doughty's show at the lizard lounge on november 17th?

i was lucky enough to get four of them, and i am going with three of my most favorite people. however, another of my most favorite people is coming back from living abroad earlier than expected...and it's breaking my heart that i don't have a 5th ticket.

does anyone have an extra ticket - or one with which they'd be willing to part? on my end, i am willing to pay more than the $23.50 face value, and will also throw in booze or cookies or whatever expression of my intense and eternal gratitude you would find most pleasing (sorry, but due to the nature of my relationship with he-for-whom-i-need-the-ticket, sexual favors are out of the question :P).

please let me know - thanks!

Does anyone have any ideas for meeting space for 10-15 people in Davis Square? Im looking at the Dilboy for larger meetings but having a hard time finding a smaller venue. Anyone have a possible rentable conference room?  Also looking for an office space....a year lease, a possible shared office or temporary sublet would all work....Thanks!
