The next meet-up is going to be next week, on Tuesday, March 18th at 7pm at Orleans. Please vote to let us know if you can make it. Good times will be had by all, plus, I'll have girl scout cookies made with real girl scouts*.

Avoid the crowds the day before and save your St. Pats party for the next day.

*As if that wasn't enough to get you to attend, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] closetalker11 was able to hook us up there will other free stuff.

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to make some extra cash by house sitting and/or pet sitting.

I am a responsible, neat/clean, young professional. I grew up with four dogs and two cats, and I worked for awhile at an animal hospital. But most of all, I just miss living with animals (my roommate is allergic!), so please, if you know anyone looking for a house/pet sitter, pass on my information!

My Livejournal is [livejournal.com profile] marsinthestars. Thanks!

There will be a community meeting for all interested parties to view and comment on the KSS/MaxPak Master Plan for their proposed 199-unit condo development. The deveopment, if approved, will be on 5 acres of former industrial land between Lowell Street, Clyde Street, the MBTA Lowell commuter rail line, and the proposed extension of the Community Path. (Map) The meeting is scheduled for

Wednesday, March 12, 6:30 pm, at the VNA, 259 Lowell Street, 3rd floor

On March 6, KSS Realty Partners presented their plan to the City of Somerville Planning Board. The Planning Board will continue to accept written comments until 12 noon on Tuesday, March 18. It is anticipated that the Planning Board will render its decision at their next scheduled meeting in late March.

The KSS Master Plan and application is available for inspection at City Hall, 3rd floor. It is also online as a PDF on the Somerville Journal's website. (I do not see it anywhere on the city website.)

Here's a new Somerville Journal article about the project.
