Best bar within a mile of Davis Square

Okay, we are going to do another poll. This one is "Best Bar within a mile of Davis Square".

You need to make suggestions here and if there is agreement, it will be included in the poll.

Two rules (please no butthurt).

1) It has to be within a mile of the center of Davis Square.
2) It needs to be a Bar. The difference between a bar and a restaurant is a judgment call, but we can generally agree. Restaurants that have a bar do not count, while bars that serve food does. For example, the Burren is a bar that has food, Mikes is a restaurant that has a bar.
2) Lets go with "best place to have a drink". I'm fine with that. Nominate now and I'll put up the poll at 3pm.

A little bit later this afternoon, I'll make the poll. Examples we are already going to include are:

Burren, Joshua Tree, Underbones, Sligo, Orleans, PJ Ryan's, Christopher's, Toad, Spirit, Newtowne Grill, Joe Sent Me, Johnny D's.

Furnaces and repair

Hi gang-

I am the proud owner of a roughly 10 year old Honeywell gas furnace (that powers hot water, not forced air).  Earlier this year the pilot went out, and after relighting it and not seeing ignition, i then decided to replace the thermocouple.  Again, it did not solve the problem, so i feel as though i am forced to obtain professional help.  Who here has had furnace repair from someone they trust?  Can someone please recommend some local plumber/heating repair shop?

(I looked for tags for "furnace" "plumbing" "heating" or "repair" and saw none. "Business services" and "home repair" also did not yield any recommendations that i could see.  If i missed one, i apologise, but i did go back well over a year.

Bar Poll - Best place to have a drink(s)

I'm sure I missed some, but such is life. Also, I "got the call" that the office is closing early because of the holiday on Monday so I'm leaving soon (yay for working for the State!).

LJ limited the number of choices I could list, so this will be divided into two polls. One for immediately within Davis Square and one for "within a mile, but not immediately within Davis Square".

Alternatives to comcast - Internet only....

Im moving to the area this weekend and I spoke to comcast today about transferring my service, however it looks like the internet service from comcast is going to cost me ~$70... Obviously Im not eligable for any offers because Im an existing customer (what gets me is that surely existing customers should get the cheapest rates assuming the pay on time etc... ie... for being a good customer! ????)

So, I'm interested to know what internet service people are using and how much it costs a month?
