Hi bookish Davis Sq types!

I've got two gift cards I've been saving....

Borders (Waldenbooks/Bretano's) : $17.38
Barnes & Noble: $25

....but it feels weird to be buying books when I'm so hard up for actual cash! So I'd like to sell them to someone who will use them... $15 for the Borders one, $22 for the B&N one..... or let's say a mere $35 if you'll take both! A savings of $7.38 (a whole book!)

I post here because this would be a local sale of the meetup-in-the-sq variety. Also because livejournal types are so wonderfully literate. :) Thanks, hope to hear from you!

Looks like it will be warm tomorrow and I thought I'd try to get out on my bike. The challenge: Avoiding the world of much traffic or snow or both.

I know the Minuteman is plowed in Somerville, Cambridge, and Arlington, but not Lexington or Bedford. Any good recommendations on roads that make good riding this time of year (i.e. plowed, long uninterrupted stretches, not too much traffic) withing striking distance of Davis? I am not opposed to getting on the Commuter Rail at Porter or West Medford to get access.

A bunch of people with vans and movie cameras are outside and inside Sacco's Bowl-Haven right now. It looks like they are shooting an independent film of some kind, but nobody would talk to me. Anyone know more?

ETA: Looks like they're going to film again tonight (Wednesday 2/11) starting some time after 3 pm.

Where around Davis can I get a really good Boston Cream Pie? A whole one, not just a slice! I don't want to get crazy expensive, but I want to show some out-of-town friends a true delicious Boston treat.

I have a car, so driving distance to a nearby town isn't a problem.

Thanks!
