Sabur's has incredible biscuits, which they call "Bosnian Biscuits". Anyone have any idea how they're made?

I find it a little odd that in the middle of a snow emergency, we have trash pickup happening. But for others in the future, take note! The trash pickup people are apparently are just as dedicated as the Mail Carriers!

(and I totally didn't put out the trash cans because hey, snow emergency! That and i thought they'd get blown all over anyway...)

Dear Davis Square LJ,

i know many of you have lived here longer than i have (~1.5 years), so i pose the following question to y'all: where are the really good sledding spots near Davis Square / in and around Somerville?  i'm not looking for the best spots all over Boston, just the ones within spontaneous wandering distance.

Thank you, thank you!

Can anyone recommend a service to plow a driveway and clear sidewalks?

For a storm like last night's, how much did your plow service charge, for how big a driveway? What time did they show up?

Hey guys, I'd love to find a regular volunteering gig, for one-two hours two-five days/week, preferably in the morning.  Anybody know a good org that needs something like that--or how to find one?

Would you like your child in a social environment with other children but don't want to pay for daycare or pre-school? Kids' Coop Cambridge could be for you! We are a 100% parent run co-op within easy walking distance of Davis Sq. We meet every morning of the week at the St. James Episcopal Church on the corner of Beech St. and Mass. Ave. Every parent works 1 morning a week and can drop off their child for an additional 2 mornings (9-11:50). There is a small tuition fee to pay the rent and supplies, but it's under $800 a year! Learn more: www.kidscoopcambridge.com or call 617-868-9079.

There is currently an OPEN SPOT, so don't hesitate! Children 18 mo. - 4 years can join. We're also creating a waiting list for enrollment next Fall.

Arts at the Armory is seeking changes to its existing Special Permit to allow daytime use of the building for its programs and special events in the performance hall and the cafe - including concurrent events. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 PM in the Aldermanic Chambers, 2nd Floor of Somerville City Hall located at 93 Highland Avenue.

If the Zoning Board of Appeals grants our request, it would allow us to host matinee performances for theater, dance and music as well as offer open studios, lectures, conferences and other events of community interest in the performance hall and cafe.

Your support is needed at this meeting! If you cannot attend, please send an e-mail of support to the Zoning Board of Appeals in care of Madeleine Masters at mmasters@somervillema.gov.
