Brunello Bistro in East Somerville (5 minute ride on the 89 out of Somerville) is offering a groupon today, spend $25 and get $50 worth of Italian-Mediterranean fare. I posted here asking what people thought of the place when it opened a month or two ago, and the response were overwhelmingly positive. If you want to get one, go to http://www.groupon.com/r/uu498499

I'm moving to East Somerville on August 1, which is a Sunday. I'll be all set for parking that day, obviously, and the first thing I plan on doing Monday morning is going to get a parking pass for my car.

I've been thinking and thinking of ways to keep from getting ticketed over Sunday night into Monday morning and I'm coming up empty. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I apply for the "resident moving into Somerville" parking pass before I actually move?

Hi everyone!

We're having another spaghetti dinner over at sprout, 339R Summer St, next Wednesday.

Hope to see you there, and let me know if you have any questions!

---

sprout spaghetti dinners is a dinner theater series seeking to bring people from the Somerville and Cambridge communities together around good food, good music, and good performance. Each month, we'll find an eclectic group of performers to explore the month's theme through different lenses. In the tradition of dinners hosted by NYC-based theater company Great Small Works, we want to cast new light on common ideas from artistic, musical, and scientific perspectives.

This month's dinner will be on Wednesday July 21 with dinner at 730PM and performances at 8. As usual, Food Not Bombs will be preparing our delicious spaghetti. The theme is On The Radio. We're going to look at the history of radio, radio as an artistic medium, and how radio has been used as a tool for communication and organizing.

Performers will include ::

+ music by The Russian Nonsemble
+ a performance of Switches, a sci-fi radio drama by Paul Dworkin, by The Post Meridian Players
+ Jacques-Antoine Jean will speak about his radio program "Haiti Focus" and its role as a community radio program that helps connect the Haitian community in the Boston area
+ John Bell and friends will perform a modern re-interpretation of John Cage's Radio Music, a piece written for 8 radios

looking forward to seeing you!
