Hey, guys.  Some time last night, the studio my friend uses got broken into.  She got a call from the owner today.  It's right off of Cedar, towards the end closer to Highland Ave.  It looks like a garage, and I think is painted purple?  I've only been there at night, so I'm not sure about the color.  And there's a hanging wood sign outside that says something about an Art Studio, Woodworking, and something else I can't remember.

They took her sewing machine and expensive bluetooth headphones.  They also took someone else's two sewing machines.  I don't know what else may have been taken from other artists using the space.  My friend's machine is a Singer Esteem.  The headphones were made by Altec.  I don't know anything about any of the other stuff.

If you saw anything (like maybe a person going in and out a bunch of times taking out some sewing machines), please PLEASE notify the Somerville police, and let me know if you do.  These people had expensive stuff stolen that they used to do something they were passionate about.  And if you see any of the stuff mentioned above turn up on Craig's or maybe a yard sale or something, go ahead and pass the info on to me and hopefully something can be done about it.

Thanks everyone.

Kind of a bizarre one.

We just got a sign delivered to our office that says "AMERICAN EXPRESS Cards Welcome." And, yes, we do accept AMEX, but... We're a web-based company. No storefront or in-person customers; no need for a sign. I called to see if I should return it, but the friendly AMEX representative said to just throw it away.

That seems wasteful, so I'm offering it up here if it would be useful to a local business that accepts AMEX but doesn't have a sign. This is not a cardboard sign or window decal. It's metal, maybe 20x14 inches, and comes with some sort of hanging bracket, it appears (haven't pulled it all out of the box).

Availble for pick-up in Porter Square, or I could possibly deliver it to you somewhere in the area after next week.

[Let me know if this seems inappropriate for the community.]

Found iPod.

How's *that* for a change?

One of those flat ones. A friend tells me it's a 1st gen nano. Found it on Holland St outside the T station. Still works. The owner's name is Kate.
