When I opened my office last fall, I got such a wonderful outpouring of support from DSLJ.  I'm teaching infant massage classes now, and I hope you'll help me spread the word.  More info below.  Thank you!

Bond with your baby!  Learn how to safely touch your baby with Infant Massage.

Infant Massage Classes start June 8th with Sara Garvin, LMT at Somerville Therapeutic Massage.

Sara has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003.  Her calm, nurturing demeanor makes her well-liked by both parents and babies.  In this series of five classes, you’ll learn how to massage your baby, handle common issues such as colic and gas, meet other new parents and have fun!

Studies have consistently shown that babies who are massaged sleep better, hit developmental milestones faster, bond more closely with their families, and have reduced colic and crying.  Take advantage of this wonderful healing art and learn to massage your baby safely with Sara.

“I feel more confident that I can touch her in ways that are relaxing and comforting, and won’t hurt her.” –a recent Infant Massage graduate

Classes start on Wednesday, June 8th and run for five weeks.  The cost is $100, payable by cash, check, or Visa/MC.  There will be two class groups, one meeting at 3:00 and the other meeting at 6:00.  Each group will be capped at 5 parent/baby pairs, so contact Sara today!

To sign up for a class, please call 617-284-6150, or write to info@somervillemassage.com.

I was running on North Street today and I noticed a clothing and shoe donation bin near the intersection with Broadway. Does anyone know what organization collects at this bin? The location is very convenient to me but I want to know just where my items would be going before I dump stuff in there.

(And if no one here knows I'll have to take a picture with my camera next time so I remember what the bin says when I get home.)

does anyone know where i might find a sleep eye mask, possibly a fabric one with a nice pattern? this kind of thing. i want to get one for my sister's birthday which is, um, monday. (never let it be said i did anything on time when i could procrastinate. >.< ) last year you guys helped me find a little plush flamingo for her, so i figured i'd ask again. :D

(i have a car, so i'm not limited to camberville, if that makes a difference. today i looked in magpie and dsquared, because i was out and about, but i don't know where else to look.)

My blue & chrome Torker Tristar cargo trike (a bike with two back wheels and a large cargo basket between them) has been stolen. Please help me look for it!

larger image behind cut )

Distinctive modifications include a non-standard heavy duty white cargo basket with a blue reflective-striped cord (actually a dog leash!) woven through the wires, and silver reflective tape.

I have made a police report. If you see someone riding this unique cycle, please give the Somerville police a call (they say 911 is fine). There are one or two other Somervillians with similar bikes that they have legit, but they would have a different style basket and may not be the Torker brand. My hope, though a slim one, is that the bike hasn't been taken far, and that through word of mouth and its unusual style we can locate it or scare the thief into abandoning it.

EDIT: IT HAS BEEN FOUND! Thank you so much to this community!
