In the wake of Cameras Inc's departure, has anyone found a good alternative? I'm looking for a local developer where you can upload/order prints online, that isn't CVS, Walgreens, etc.

Just wanted to share that Stop & Shop has now put up signs at the old Foodmaster location at Rt. 16 and Broadway, stating that the new store is "Coming Soon!". Also, as an update to the previous post about this store, S&S has reached an agreement with their workers' union without any strikes.

I emailed them to ask if they have a timeline for when this store will open, but they haven't emailed me back yet. I'll update this post once they do!

Update: Their email said "We do not have a firm opening date at this time, however, we hope to open the store before the end of the year. As you may know, many unforeseen events can affect the completion of a new store. We hope to serve you soon at the new location."

SPRING RESISTAT MEETING SEASON SET TO RUN APRIL 30 TO JUNE 18 WITH MAYOR,
ALDERMEN
Residents Asked to Take Online Survey to Help Shape Meeting Agenda

Ward 6: May 2, Greater Davis Square, SW Ball Square
6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, May 2, Somerville Community Baptist Church, 31 College
Ave.
Meet-and-Greet with refreshments from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

SOMERVILLE – Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone invites residents to the Spring 2013
ResiStat Community Meetings, a twice-yearly effort to share the latest City news
and data directly with residents and gather their feedback.

Seven neighborhood meetings, one in each ward, will be held in the coming weeks.
Mayor Curtatone, ward and at-large aldermen, members of the Somerville
Police Department, and City staff will discuss issues important to residents and
take their questions. Topics will range from crime and safety reports, rodent
control, and neighborhood improvements such as road, park, and library projects
to a look at citywide initiatives including Green Line station area planning,
the city budgeting process, and a word from the Mayor on how the City is using
data and a systems approach to improve services and tackle new issues.
Refreshments will be served at a meet-and-greet before each meeting, where
residents can talk with City officials and their neighbors.

Residents are invited to help shape the meeting agendas by taking the Meeting
Survey to propose topics for discussion. The survey is online here:
http://somervilleresistat.blogspot.com/p/meetings.html, or take the survey by
phone by calling ResiStat Coordinator Denise Taylor at 617-625-6600 x2103.

First, Saturday, April 27th is Somerville's annual Spring Clean Up day. Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz and I will be in the Davis Square plaza from 10:00 a.m. - noon to hand out trash bags, gloves, t-shirts and other stuff. If you can spend an hour, a half-hour, or two hours picking up trash and debris, please stop by and we will get you started in our neighborhood cleaning up after a very tough winter! More information below.

Second, if you know of any place in Ward Six (Davis Square to Powderhouse Circle and Ball Square) that needs trash picked up, please email me directly (PBockelman AT aol.com). Sometimes people will see trash piled up against a fence or something and wonder why it is never cleaned up. Now is the time to let us know about this. If it is public property, we will send people out to clean it up.

We hope to see you Saturday, April 27th!

Paul
