Hi all,
I'm posting to DSLJ because our Arlington group (at least when I was in it, in 2011-12) had a lot of crossover with Somerville!

Elise, the longtime moderator/gem of the Friday morning JF&CS group at the Calvary church is moving to Seattle. Many of us are thankful for her 10+ years of volunteer service and are having a fun informal reunion in her honor this Thursday at Magnolia, starting at 4:30 PM.

For more information (including info about the scrapbook in progress - deadline is today or arrive early at the event):

To RSVP to the reunion (recommended!)

Hope to see you there!
-Karin and other grateful Arlington-area parents

PS: please pass this along to other parents that you know!

Just caught this via a local bike blog. Seems the theft was last week, but is just being posted about today.

Transit Police detectives are seeking the identity of the male subject depicted within. If you know the whereabouts or the identity of this individual please contact our Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050 or (as always) if you wish to assist our investigators but seek to remain anonymous you can simply text your tip to us at 873873

On Monday, May 20, 2013, at approximately 9:45 AM, the male subject depicted below arrived at the Holland Street side of Davis MBTA Station on a bicycle. He was observed loitering near the bicycle racks for approximately 30 minutes, before placing his bicycle next to another bicycle, which he subsequently stole, leaving the original bicycle behind.

I'm looking for an accountant. I've got one I've been using but a couple of things make me think that he's not the best fit for me. Ideally I'd want someone who has a decent knowledge of the taxes around selling a home & buying a new one, and someone who would be willing to meet with me and talk to me about this issue now-ish would be best of all.

The Book Shop in Ball Square is raising money on Indiegogo: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-the-book-shop Personally, I'd like to have a better understanding of how the campaign fits with the shop's sustainability. But it seems like the kind of business we all would support so I wanted to make sure everyone was aware.
