Somerville Illuminations Tour will be Saturday 12/13; tickets on sale Sunday 11/30

The Somerville Arts Council's annual Illuminations Trolley Tour will take place on Saturday, December 13. This is a guided tour of festively decorated houses throughout the city. As in recent years, there will be both an East and a West trolley route.

Tickets go on sale at Blue Cloud Gallery in Ball Square, starting on Sunday, November 30. Full details on trolley times and ticket sales are on this page. These tickets often sell out within a week.

The Somerville Bicycle Committee will also hold its annual Illuminations Bicycle Tour the same night. Meet at 5:50 pm in front of Somerville High School, departing promptly at 6 pm.

Brickbottom and Joy Street open studios this weekend

It's the weekend before Thanksgiving, which means it's time for Open Studios at Brickbottom Artists' Building and Joy Street Studios.

Both buildings will be open Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23, from noon to 6 pm. They are a two-block walk from each other, so it's easy to visit both in one trip. Buses 80, 86, 87, 88, 90, and 91 all stop reasonably close to one or both of these buildings.

Registration open for Community Immunization Day!

Hi everyone!  My dental office is hosting a vaccination clinic in January for adults in Somerville and all surrounding communities.  It will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 8am to 7pm.  Registration is now open, and most immunizations are free with health insurance!  We're working with Rite Aid to offer 11 different vaccinations and boosters, including flu, Gardasil, Hep A and B, meningitis, TDAP, and others!  Most adults are not current with the immunizations available, and it's one of the best things you can do for your health.

Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is strongly encouraged so that we can have enough supplies and know when to expect you!

Anyone missing a mini bike?

This morning, I found a mini bike on my lawn and it is still there. I'm assuming that someone took it for a joyride and dumped it at my house. Let me know what color it is and I will give you directions to my home.
