Does anyone have any recommendations for a guitar teacher in the area? Wanted to get my boyfriend some lessons for his birthday... he's a beginner. Davis Square is preferable, but I'll consider anyone in Camberville. Thanks!

Like the subject line says... Goffee (goth meetup) tonight at Diesel Cafe in Davis Sq, Somerville at 8pm!

Look for the gal dressed in black with the REALLY long red hair in back by the couches.

Good food, good drinks, and people getting together to chat, relax, and hang out before TGIF tomorrow. :)

The Duhamel Education Initiative will hold its annual pancake breakfast this Saturday, March 29, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the parish hall of First Congregational Church at 89 College Ave. Enter on the Francesca Avenue side of the church.

Donation is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for children, and $20 per family. Proceeds support the work of dropout prevention programs in Somerville schools. For more information, call Doris McDaniel at 617-623-3168.

Ugh. Don't you hate it when you saw a handy website like 6 months ago and you can't remember the URL when you really need it? I'm wondering if someone can help me...

I'm looking for this website that lets you easily create your own custom online maps. Like, let's say you wanted to create an online interactive map of Davis Square with pushpins showing your favorite places and then share that with others.

The website I'm thinking of starts with a "P" and, as with all things webby, has a totally made up word for a name.

I'm asking here because a woman who works for that website has posted here a bunch of times asking people to contribute to her custom area maps.

Thanks if you can help!

(Tried LJSeeking this with no luck. Also tried to do what I wanted with Google Maps but couldn't get it to work.)

In case anybody is thinking of donating to public radio, WBUR has a very Davis-centric deal right now. A $100 donation gets you a $25 gift card to Redbones and passes to the Somerville Theater, according to the www.wbur.com website. Yeah, I know that's not worth $100, but you also get to support public radio and not feel quite as guilty whenever their fund drives come on the air.
