Recently Redbones donated a wonderful BBQ feast to one of the local homeless shelters. The recipients were so happy about it and so grateful. One of them told me it was like a real party. She was so animated with joy when she talked about it, I think it was the highlight of her week.
So I wanted to pass that along and say "Good Job Redbones!"

And it just wouldn't be right for me to not give the local brigade of the paranoid and distrustful something to pelt me with shill'ings over.
My gift to you:  Redbones makes absolutely the *best* fried okra north of the Charles river.

July 08 Consumer Reports?

Happy Holiday everyone...

I was researching a new camera before I head on a long trip in a week and I realized I couldn't find my copy of the July 2008 issue of Consumer Reports that rated cameras.  Does anyone here have that issue that I can borrow for a couple days?  I've got June and August, but I can't seem to find July.  I'll have to ask my housemate when she gets back from Firefly, but I was hoping to do some camera shopping over the weekend.

Pemberton Market now has beer!

The relocated Pemberton Market, at Mass. Ave. and Day Street, received its liquor license yesterday at 3 pm. They now sell beer, and they are busy building and stocking the wine department as I type this.
