Does anyone know how much it costs to have a driveway, sidewalk, porch etc shoveled? I live in a multifamily house and may propose we all chip in for this service instead of waiting around to see who finally caves in, but I have no idea how much this costs. Any suggestions?

I'm moving, and am selling my Professional Dress Form!
Here's the Craigslist Posting for it.

I'm also selling an IKEA desk/table. It's the VIKA mix/match style, and it's that dark brownish/black color top with the INGE style legs. That is the size, btw. It was $68 new. I'd like $30 for it.

Please note the following snow emergency update:

With forecasts calling for more snow starting Sunday morning, the City's snow emergency will remain in effect at least through Sunday night, December 21st.   Cars parked on the even side of the street remain subject to ticketing and towing.  Drivers are reminded that they must NOT park within twenty feet of intersections, obstruct the street, block hydrants or handicapped spaces, or violate resident permit parking. Residents and businesses are reminded that they are required to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks. Parking meter rules in city lots or on the odd side of the street are NOT in effect, and residents may continue to park in designated city and school lots until the snow emergency is lifted.  Please also note that the City's Illuminations Tours will proceed this evening as scheduled.   Thanks to all those who are assisting the city by keeping roads and sidewalks passable during this snow emergency.   For additional information, please visit the City's website or call 311.

Does anybody know if visitor permits are still valid during the snow emergency? Can they park in the schoolyards as well as the odd side?

The closest non-permit parking to my place (near Powder House Circle) is on Broadway, but I heard from someone that last night they were towing every car on the street. Is this something to do with the snow emergency, or just an overnight-parking thing? In short, can anyone confirm or deny that it's safe to park on Broadway during the day?

My friend canceled and I haven't found a cohort to help me crack all those sluts tonight. If there's someone else who was thinking of going solo, it could be fun to meet up for a drink and see the show. The ticket is $16.

Of course, I'll also just sell the ticket, but it'd be more fun to hang out with somebody new.

Comment/message/whatever if you're interested. Thanks!

Taken. Thanks!

Sorry for yet another question about snow...

Does anybody know if there is parking available near city hall for the illuminations tour? All the parking lots I know of over there are also snow emergency parking, so I'm assuming it's pretty full already.

I've seen posts on this before, but now can't seem to find them.  Is there a community woodworking place somewhere near Davis Square where you can get access to woodworking tools.  I did a google search and I wasn't able to find it.  I am looking for access to a miter saw.

Thanks!

My roomie and I have decided we want to move closer to Davis Square when our lease is up in July. Before we get our hopes up, how likely are we to find a 2-bedroom with washer and dryer and two off-street spaces for $1250 within a 20 min walk to the Square? I was sorting through the rental tags and will explore some of the realtor recommendations on there but will most likely us Craigslist to avoid the fee. Any other "super secret" tools we should use and how soon is too soon to start seriously looking? Happy holidays!
