My partner and I are trying to get an idea of the interest in a co-working space in Davis Sq.   Are there enough people out there who could use a co-working space? Is there a latent need? Are there enough people to keep a space running here in Davis Sq?  Are there office space owners who would be interested in exploring what co-working might mean?

Our goal is to create an affordable space which offers at least the following:

Affordability: ~$200/Month per a person for full time use  ~$100/Month for part-time use.

24/7 access

Phone booth for private phone calls

Conference rooms with data projectors.

Ultra high speed internet

Use of our address as your business address.  Get notified via email when you receive a package.

Fully stocked kitchen with food and drinks – yogorts, fruits, soft drinks, snacks, and cold beverages

Copier, Printer, & Fax

Storage lockers for your belongings.

We are exploring a space within a 4minute walk of the Davis Sq T.  This particular space has great natural light via numerous skylights.  It is about 3200sqft.

If you are interested, please drop me a line at ike@realtywarp.com with questions, comments, and/or concerns.

The first of the Columbia Street fire benefits is tomorrow - an all day indiefest in Union Square, $10 gets you into all three venues.

This article in the Phoenix also describes the other upcoming benefits.

Just thought that people would want to know that the Q's Nuts store at Highland and Willow opened yesterday.  Their webpage doesn't seem to have a comprehensive list of hours yet (just a note on the home page that they were open from 12-8 on Friday), but they were open today, and had samples of all their flavors that were on sale (plus some new ones that they seemed to be trying out, like chocolate rosemary).  http://qsnuts.com/

Does anyone know what happened at the zoning board meeting for the Arts at the Armory?

Someone posted that question on their Facebook wall and all the venue replied is that the poster should "email the executive director if you're interested." That doesn't sound promising... it also doesn't seem like a good way to communicate with your community, unless they're legally constrained from talking about it. I feel like if you do a big "come support us" public appeal, you should really tell people whatever you can, even if it's just that an answer is pending.

Did anyone from here go? Did they hear the appeal? Give an answer?

thanks!
