Trader Joe's Fresh Pond will open Friday November 13th

My Cambridge city councillor, Craig Kelley, mailed this around:

I’m not sure why they picked the date, but on Friday, 13 November the new Trader Joe’s at Fresh Pond (opposite the current Whole Foods, adjacent to CVS on the rotary where Concord Ave heads out towards Belmont) will celebrate its grand opening. They’re not quite sure how elaborate the opening celebration will be, but for those of you who are Trader Joe fans, the store’s simply opening up is probably celebration enough.

Big Broadcast Matinee, extra tix

I thought I could make it to the Big Broadcast Matinee today at 2 at the Somerville Theater but I can't. My friend who phyisically has the tickets is working Merchandise for Emperor Norton's in the lobby. She has bright red hair! If you want a ticket, please consider buying them off her so they don't go to waste. Thank you!

football games louder this year?

Am I getting old, or has Tufts turned up the volume on their football announcers this year?
We're fairly near the field, but do have houses between it and us. It seems like this fall there's a vague football game background noise I can still hear inside our house and I don't think I remember noticing that before...

Lost cat: Simon [found!]

My roommate Allie's sweet cat Simon disappeared from the house (31 Ossipee Road) this morning or last night, and has not been seen since. He is an indoor cat but is not declawed. I've never known him to use claws on a person, although he does give the occasional "love bite". Please drop a line if you see him.
