Today's groupon is for Johnny D's; they have TWO groupons today...$10 for $20 in the restaurant, and $10 for a $50 'door-fee' card, that you can use towards show covers. They specify the restaurant voucher must be used in one sitting, but that 'you'll get access to $50 worth of Johnny D's shows', for multiple uses. I bought one of each.

standard disclaimer: I get a credit at groupon if this is your first purchase with them.

I'm selling a condo to a family member and I need to have my common area fire alarm inspected by an electrician (it's a 6 unit building). I called the company that installed the system and they want to charge me $400. Anyone know of a local electrician who would be willing to do this (and write a letter stating it's ok) for a reasonable amount of money?

Also, I have 2 free tix to a screening of Cyrus tonight at AMC Boston Commons at 7:00pm. If you want them, please comment, and they're yours. I would recommend getting there early as they typically give out more passes than seats.

Edit: I left messages for the last 2 electricians (Mike and Tom) recommended in an old post. Thanks for those!

A friend of mine has been having some mental health issues (depression, anxiety, general crazy?) that have been pretty poorly managed, and she's looking for someone to help her with medication. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience in this area, but she says she's been having a hard time finding anyone taking new patients or even someone to call her back, so I offered to try to find her some names to continue the hunt.

Can anyone recommend a female psychiatrist in the Camb/Som/Arlington area who may be taking new patients (I don't know her insurance status)? Intelligence is important, but compassionate would also be nice - my friend is kind of burnt out on the whole experience. :(

Thank you very much in advance!

I am usually loathe to throw away things, but I'm also lazy. As a result, I have a rather large box of worthless electronics, including:

used ink cartridges (both laser and inkjet)
a vast assortment of AV cables, plugs, dongles, and the like
used lithium batteries
some burnt out CFL bulbs
a dead ipod
a dead laptop

Is there a one-stop spot I could dump all this junk? Um, other than a landfill or your mom's backyard. Would prefer something walkable from a Red Line stop, but I could probably manage it in 2 bike trips as well.

My roomie is moving in with her boyfriend (hooray for her!) and she's taking her lovely kitchen table with her (boo!)

If anyone's looking to unload any kitchen-table-like thing for cheap or free, I can come take it off your hands.  It does not need to be fancy, large, or have chairs included.  :)

Any leads would be appreciated.  You can also email me directly at jadesylvan@gmail.com

I've ended up with an extra bag of potting mix and before dragging it back to the store to return it, I thought I'd see if anyone here (perhaps someone who doesn't otherwise have easy access to CostCo) might want it. It is a new, unopened 55 quart bag of Miracle Grow Moisture Control Potting Mix. Large and heavy, but can be moved by one strong person or two weak ones.

If you're a nice person and really want it but don't have any means of transport, I could be convinced to bring it to your place if you're close by. I won't complain if you can come get it at my place in Magoun Square, though. $12 (what I paid).

If you draw comics and live in Somerville, please drop me an email: kjc@kjcedits.com

I'm (a) doing a headcount and (b) looking for potential interview subjects on the topic of Somerville's artist community and making comics in this area.

If you know of comickers in town, please drop them a note or include their names in your email to me.

Thank you!
