Wedding Dress Preservation
Feb. 26th, 2008 11:53 amI have a wedding dress I need cleaned and preserved. I looked on Yelp for possible suggestions, but I can't seem to find anything about this specific service. Does anyone have any experience with this in the Somerville area? Thanks in advance!
Selling Books
Feb. 26th, 2008 02:42 pmHi! I am no longer a history student, and I decided that I really needed to trim my book collection. Mostly in the textbook department (although most of these are not textbooks per se, they were used as such for classes I took).
EDIT: I've just about doubled the number of books listed, so you might want to check again. They are all listed with prices here: http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&me=A35HNXX7BTR1D3

Feb. 26th, 2008 03:32 pmHi Everyone.
This may sound dumb, and i apologize for my ignorance..but what are the odds of getting ticked by off Day Street a couple blocks up from the square Friday and Saturday?
The story is that I'll moving to the Davis area Friday afternoon (from out of state)...and I won't be able to get a Resident Permit b/c City Hall closes at noon. The City folks really didn't seem to take to any of my sugguestions about how to get a permit..faxing my info and having them mail it..taking my plate down for the time being..etc., and told me I should ask a neighbor (none of which i know yet of course) if they have a visitor's permit that could get me through till Sunday. Monday I can go to take care of this in person before work.
They also were so kind to tell me that I could just get tickets and then contest them if I didn't get anything from a neighbor..I wish they'd be more coorperative...
Any comments or ideas?? Thanks ;-)
Please keep text formatting to an essential minimum when posting to
- specify an explicit <font> face, size, or color, especially at the outermost (top) level of your post
- paste formatted text into the Rich Text editor from Microsoft Word or another word processor
Doing these things often makes your post less readable on other people's friends pages, or results in text that looks too big or too small on some screens. In at least one case, I recall it generating huge numbers of blank lines at the end of a post, because of a <span> or <div> tag that got pasted in from Microsoft Word.
Thanks for your cooperation. After some discussion here, I'll probably add this to the rules on the community's profile page.
