So I accidentally purchased two monthly T link passes. Go me! I'm selling one (a ticket pass) for $45. If you are interested, comment or PM me and we can work out the details, I work in and live by Davis Sq so it's very easy to meet up in the area. I'll even throw in a double stuff oreo or something to sweeten the deal. Hooray!
Taken, thanks!

Us:
I'm a delinquent-art-student-cum-circus-performer who works retail to pay the bills. I have an adorable, fantastic snake named Xavier who may indeed have super powers of cutitude. I spend too much time and money and sometimes travel ridiculously long ways to spread circus mayhem with my friends. I read obsessively and sometimes have been known to become sulky and depressed when good books end. In the interest of full disclosure, I'll be moving out in August or September to go to an intensive training circus program. I live in the room next the one that's being offered.

The other roommates are a couple from MIT, computer science folks, with an interest in costume design and gaming. They share the bedroom downstairs. I've had a great time living with them for the last nine months.

We're all pretty far left politically, and this is a thoroughly GLBTQ-friendly household.

After years of waiting for the Urban Gourmet replacement to emerge and months of the "opening soon" sign at the new place beckoning, it looks like Jumbo's is now open for business.

I have not eaten there, so I can't provide any insight.

Here's a link to their site, including a menu: http://eatatjumbos.com/

There's a new dance/fitness studio opening up at 313 Highland (just east of Hancock in that long one-story tan building) called World Rhythms Dance/Fitness. Not much up on their website yet, but still, looks interesting!

Saturday, May 9th, from 10am - 12 noon, we will be gathering in the center of Davis Square for the City's annual spring clean up. Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz and I will be coordinating the Ward Six clean up.

We need your help in two ways:

First, if you know of areas in our neighborhood that are full of litter or need a good clean up, please email or call me. We know there are a couple of places around the T station that need attention. But what about other areas? Email or phone me if you have any locations we can clean up.

Second, if you have an hour or two on Saturday, please come on out to Davis Square to help with the spring clean up. We will have gloves, tools, bags, t-shirts and refreshments! You bring your friends, family, kids and neighbors and join in this great community event!

If you can only be there a half-hour or an hour, it will help. Hope to see you there.

Hi, I received more than one postcard from the Fuel Assistance Program. That is fine. I don't qualify (luckily, or that would mean I'm in or close to financial trouble). What is puzzling is that it is sponsored by the CITY OF CAMBRIDGE. My address is correct and is in Somerville. Any ideas why Cambridge sends these postcards to people in Somerville? Thanks.

Simply put: We're going away for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend and need to find a reputable person to take care of our beloved pooch (black lab, male, 90 lbs) from 5/22 - 5/25. We normally take him with us, but this is not an option this time.

I've done the DSLJ tag search, a Google search, and contacted someone via craigslist (no reply yet). We had a poor experience with a local dog-sitter in the past so I'm hoping someone here might have a favorable recommendation of a dog sitter who will take great care of our best friend.

...the "kennel" alternative makes me want to cancel this trip. Thanks everyone!
